--- Highland Park splits with Topeka West

ERNIE BANKS WOULD HAVE LOVED TONIGHT. DOUBLE-HEADERS WERE MADE FOR LATE AFTERNOONS AND EVENINGS WHEN THE TEMPERATURES ARE TERRIFIC. AND THE CUBS GREAT WOULD HAVE LOVED THE CENTENNIAL LEAGUE SCHEDULE...
BECAUSE THEY ALWAYS PLAY TWO.
VO
At HUMMMMM -er Park tonight... Highland Park and Topeka West..
lovely NIGHT FOR baseball...

The Chargers were sitting on a lead when things began to go wrong. Highland Park's Courtney Carroway was at the plate... the misplay in the infield brings home Rodney Harris... that tied the game at eight.....

But the rally would continue with Kyle Burkhart... play at second... giving new meaning to the word BOBBLEHEAD... James Yammas scores...

The Scots eventually took a two run lead.. GAVE UP one.... Topeka West had runners in scoring position... but the game ends on a fly out... Harris secures the out and a win.
SCOREBOARD
The Scots win game two 10 to nine... Topeka West won four to nothing in the opener of what turned out to be a DOUBLEHEADER split.

----- Seaman beats Junction City ---
At Seaman... the Vikings appear to have another strong team... they were hosting VISITING Junction City...

On the hill... that's Ryan Saylor.... just bringing it... that's a tough pitch to hit when it's thrown on the corners....

Later... bags packed with Vikings base runners... and this SHOT... ripped to the fence... almost over it... it will bring in a patrol's worth of baserunners... The Vikings won both games by ten runs..

SCOREBOARD
16 TO 6 AND 18 TO 8.
Seaman also won the softball doubleheader at Junction City 13 to nothing, and 9 to 2.
