April 19, 2007-The Emporia State baseball team is ranked #5 in the first
NCAA Central Regional Poll of the season. The automatic qualifiers from
the MIAA, North Central Conference and Northern Sun Intercollegiate
Conference and the next three highest ranked teams at the end of the
season advance to the regional tournament. Emporia State’s 21 Central
Region wins are second to Central Missouri in the region. The Hornets
and Mules will meet for a four game series beginning Friday night at the
Trusler Sports Complex in Emporia.
