Emporia State Drops Pitt State

April 18, 2007-- The Hornet baseball team picked up a 10-6 victory over Pittsburg State on the road on Wednesday, April 18. Offensively Conner Crumbliss walked four times and scored four runs as Brian Majors drove in four runs from the second position in the line up while going four for six from the plate. Nick Wolfe added his second home run of the season and drove in two runs as well and Keith Hernandez went two for three with two RBI as well. Ty Reese came on in the fourth inning and pitched the final 5.2 innings to pick up his second win of the season. The Hornets will now return home to begin a four game set with #4 Central Missouri with a single nine inning game beginning the series Friday, April 20 at 7 p.m. The Hornets will then play a double header Satruday, April 21 at 1 p.m. and finish with a single nine inning Sunday, April 22 at 12 noon.
