pril 16, 2007-- The Hornet baseball team split with Northwest Missouri 2-1 and 2-4 on Monday in Maryville, Mo. Game one was a classic pitchers dual as both pitchers lasted the entire seven innings, but Hornet Brock Nehls came out on top to pick up his fourth victory. Mark McBratney had the only Hornet hit of the day, which was a home run, and scored the go ahead run after getting to third on a three-base error by the Bearcats. McBratney was three for four in the second game, and had one of the Hornets two RBI. The Hornets will be in action next as they make the road trip down to Pittsburg for a single nine-inning game with the Gorillas. First pitch for that ball game is set for 6 p.m. at Al Ortolani Field in Pittsburg.
