Spots running out for Powercat Golf Tournament

MANHATTAN, Kan. – A limited number of spots remain available for K-State’s 23rd Annual Powercat Golf Tournament, according to assistant development director Bernie Haney.

The tournament will be held at Colbert Hills on Friday, April 20. Registration for the four-person scramble format tournament begins at 9 a.m., with a shotgun start slated for 10 a.m. The entry fee to play in the tournament is $150 per person and teams or individuals interested in pre-registering for the event should contact Haney at 785-532-5162 or bhaney@ksu.edu.

The 23rd Annual Powercat Golf Tournament kicks off a two-day slate of events surrounding Kansas State’s 2007 spring football game on Saturday, April 21, at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. In addition to the golf tournament, K-State will also host the popular Powercat Auction on Friday night in Bramlage Coliseum.

Saturday’s events include the second annual KSU Wildcat BBQ Battle, a full carnival midway, a car show, Willie's Fun Zone, live music in Cat Town and a battle of the bands, a K-State vs. Oklahoma baseball game at Tointon Family Stadium and a post-game autograph session with the Wildcat football team following the spring game.
