Herron Announces Three Freshmen Signings
Washburn head coach Chris Herron announced the signing of three high school seniors to national letters of intent to attend Washburn and play volleyball during the 2010 season.

Washburn head coach Chris Herron announced the signing of three high school seniors to national letters of intent to attend Washburn and play volleyball during the 2010 season. The group includes two hitters and a libero.

Herron signed Topeka native and Washburn Rural High School senior Kelsey Lewis and pair from Missouri in Kansas City, Mo. native Courtney Churchman from Park Hill South High School and Raymore, Mo. native Aubri Renshaw from Raymore-Peculiar High School

The Lady Blues are 32-4 this year in Herron’s eighth season at Washburn. They finished second in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association with a 16-4 record and they begin their sixth straight NCAA tournament Thursday at 2:30 p.m. against Nebraska-Omaha. The three rounds of the South Central Region tournament are hosted by Central Missouri.

Raymore-Peculiar High School
A three-time all-conference and all-region selection for Raymore-Peculiar High School earning second team honors in both as a junior and a first team all-conference and all-region pick as a senior. A member of the 2009 Missouri All-Star Team for the Missouri-Kansas All-Star Game.
