WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ Wichita State has a new basketball coach.
He's Gregg Marshall, who led tiny Winthrop to a first-round
upset of Notre Dame in this year's N-C-double-A tournament.
The school introduced Marshall during a news conference today at
Wichita State.
School officials said they had reached a tentative seven-year
agreement with Marshall for 750 thousand dollars a year.
Marshall replaces Mark Turgeon, who left the Shockers to coach
Texas A-and-M.
