Hornet Men's Basketball Inks One In Early Period
Emporia State men's basketball head coach David Moe has announced the signing of one player to attend ESU and play basketball for the Hornets in the 2010-11 season.

Emporia State men's basketball head coach David Moe has announced the signing of one player to attend ESU and play basketball for the Hornets in the 2010-11 season.

Travis Dykman is a 6-2 guard from Crandall High School in Crandall, Texas. During his junior season Dykman averaged 16.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game as he led the Pirates to a 26-8 season. He shot .800 from the free throw line and .550 from the field last season. He was named the offensive MVP in Texas Class 3A/District 13 as a junior.

He lead the Pirates in both scoring and assists during both his sophomore and junior seasons. He was named Sophomore of the Year in District 13 in 2008.

The Hornets 18-10 a year ago open the season on Monday, Nov. 16 at Central Oklahoma. They will make their White Auditorium debut on Wednesday, Nov. 18 against Bethany.
