^N-C-A-A changes rules, again<
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ A year after changing the rules to speed up
play in college football games, the N-C-A-A has approved changes
that will revert the rules to what they were in 2005. The ``new''
changes will stop the clock on possession changes and not start it
on kickoffs, until the receiving team touches the ball.
The changes last year reduced the length of games by 14 minutes
as well as the number of plays per game by 14. Many coaches spoke
out loudly about the changes and not in a positive manner.
