TOPEKA, Kan (April 11, 2007) –The cold and rainy weather has forced cancellation of the Heartland Park Topeka drag racing events scheduled for this week. The events, Wednesday night Street Legal Drags, presented by AAA Kansas and the Topeka Capital-Journal on the 11th, the Street Wars Test N Tune on Friday, April 13th and the Junior Drags and ET Bracket racing event scheduled for Saturday, April 14th have all been canceled.
Two Street Legal Drag races and Test N Tune nights have been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 25 and Wednesday May 2nd. Gates will open at 5:00 pm.
However, at this time, the second dirt track practice scheduled for noon on Sunday, April 15th will still take place. Car and driver pit passes are only $10 with spectators admitted free.
Heartland Park Topeka, a multi-purpose racing facility located in Topeka, Kan., annually hosts NHRA POWERade drag racing, the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA), and many other pro and amateur drag racing, road racing, and dirt racing events throughout the race season.
