A Houston newspaper is reporting Wichita State basketball coach Mark Turgeon has accepted the head coaching job at Texas A & M University.
The "Houston Chronicle" report says Turgeon is in College Station, Texas today meeting with officials. An official announcement could come Monday or Tuesday.
Turgeon's name surfaced as a front runner in on line reports Sunday night. Calls to Turgeon went unanswered last night.
Turgeon has been at WSU for seven seasons. He guided the Shockers to the Sweet 16 in 2006.
