KU is off to the gateway to the west to battle it out in the sweet sixteen. On Wednesday, fans gathered to give the team a sweet sendoff.

If you're a Jayhawk fan, Allen Fieldhouse was the place to be on Wednesday where more than 100 fans gathered, waiting to send off their hawks.

Fan cheered on players and coaches as they made their way from the locker room to the bus, and some stopped to sign a few autographs, some on paper, even some on shirts.

One of the last men to leave the locker was coach Bill Self, and he had his game face on.

"We've got to be tough. We've got to be strong with the ball. We've got to attack pressure. We've got to be mature and not let distractions outside the lines bother us. There's a lot of things we've got to do, but these guys have been doing it for the last month or so. I can't imagine them not doing it now," said Coach Self.

The game is on Friday in St. Louis. Sports Director Mark Ewing will be there to bring you the latest.
