Last Second Shot Lifts G-Town Past Vandy

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) _ Jeff Green squeezed between two
defenders and Georgetown squeezed out a win, 66-to-65 over
Vanderbilt to reach the East Regional finals. It's the first time
since 1996 that Georgetown has reached the Elite Eight.
Green banked in a short, off-balance shot with two-point-five
seconds left to give the Hoyas their seventh straight win and 18
out of their last 19. Green scored eleven of his 15 points in the
second half. DaJuan Summers also had 15 for the Hoyas. Georgetown
seven-foot-two center Roy Hibbert fouled out with 12 points.
Vanderbilt finished 22-and-12.
