Meche Roughed up in Arizona

SURPRISE, Ariz. (AP) _ The fourth inning wasn't pretty for the
Royals' big-money pitcher today.
Gil Meche signed a five-year, 55 (m) million-dollar contract
with Kansas City in December. He pitched three strong innings
before all six Arizona batters he faced in the fourth inning
reached base. The Diamondbacks went on to win 6-to-3.
Meche says there's no excuse for his fourth-inning performance.
Meche is 0-and-2 with a 5-point-40 E-R-A in three spring
training starts.
Meche says he'll look at video tomorrow to see if there was
anything he was doing wrong mechanically.
The Royals scored all their runs in the first two innings.
