SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) _ Derrick Byars scored 27 points, Shan
Foster added 20 and Vanderbilt took control in the second overtime
to beat Washington State 78-to-74 in a second-round game in the
East Regional.
Byars hit five three-pointers for sixth-seeded Vanderbilt, which
is headed to the round of 16 for the first time since 2004 -- and
just the fourth time in 20 seasons. Vandy plays second-seed
Georgetown in the next round.
Derrick Low scored 20 points for the third-seeded Cougars, who
finish 26-and-8.
