Kansas City Wizrds Community Appearance Update
Kansas City Wizards players and team mascot Dynamo the Dragon will be busy in the community over the next week, as they take part in nine community appearances throughout the metro area.

Kansas City Wizards Community Appearance Update: October 21, 2009

(October 21, 2009) – Kansas City Wizards players and team mascot Dynamo the Dragon will be busy in the community over the next week, as they take part in nine community appearances throughout the metro area. Goalkeeper Eric Kronberg and defender Jonathan Leathers completed appearances Tuesday, and four other players will pop-in to youth team practices Thursday night. Next Monday, midfielder Kevin Souter and four other teammates will pop-in to a practice with the NAIA to promote the Are You In? sportsmanship program.

WIZARDS COMMUNITY APPEARANCES OCTOBER 20-26
Who: G-K Eric Kronberg

When: Tuesday, October 20, 1:30-2:30pm

Where: Meadow Lane Elementary, Olathe, KS

What: The Wizards will be serving dessert to the kids of Meadow Lane Elementary who won a school visit from a Kansas City Wizards player. Eric Kronberg will be there to answer questions that they might have and talk soccer with the kids.

Who: D Jonathan Leathers

When: Tuesday, October 20, 6:00-7:00pm

Where: California Trails Middle School, Olathe, KS

What: KC United soccer players will have the opportunity to get pointers from a pro, as Jonathan Leathers “pops-in” to help with practice and talk to the players about working hard and setting goals.

Who: M Roger Espinoza, F Zoltan

When: Thursday, October 22, 6:00-7:00pm

Where: Rhein Benninghoven Elementary, Shawnee, KS

What: Shawnee Soccer Club players will have the opportunity to get pointers from the pros, as Roger Espinoza and Zoltan “pop-in” to help with practice and talk to the players about working hard and setting goals.

Who: M Kevin Souter

When: Thursday, October 22, 5:30-6:30pm

Where: Van Hook Park, Independence, MO

What: Independence soccer players will have the opportunity to get pointers from a pro, as Kevin Souter “pops-in” to help with practice and talk to the players about working hard and setting goals.

Who: M Davy Arnaud

When: Thursday, October 22, 5:30-6:30pm

Where: Indian Valley Elementary, Overland Park, KS

What: Ladybugs Soccer Team players will have the opportunity to get pointers from a pro, as Davy Arnaud “pops-in” to help with practice and talk to the players about working hard and setting goals.

Who: D Jonathan Leathers

When: Friday, October 23, 1:30-2:30pm

Where: Saint James School, Liberty, MO

What: Jonathan Leathers will visit Saint James School to take pictures with the kids at the school’s Project Fit Assembly. He will talk about the importance of physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle, in addition to congratulating the school on their recent grant for improved physical education equipment.

Who: Mascot Dynamo the Dragon

When: Sunday, October 25, 2:00-3:00pm

Where: Midway Shopping Center, Kansas City, KS

What: Dynamo will hang out at Reyes Media’s Halloween event this weekend, interacting with all the children dressed up in their costumes. Stop by for some fun!

Who: Mascot Dynamo the Dragon

When: Sunday, October 25, 5:15-6:15pm

Where: Prairie Trail Junior High, Olathe, KS

What: Dynamo will participate in the Lemons-4-Life, Be Aware Please Share event this weekend. He will pose for photographs with the children and hand out high-fives.

Who: F Herculez Gomez, F Kei Kamara, F Adam Cristman, GK Boris Pardo, M Kevin Souter

When: Monday, October 26; 6:30-8:00pm

Where: Overland Park Soccer Complex, Overland Park, KS

What: Blue Valley Soccer Club players will have the opportunity to get pointers from the pros, as Herculez Gomez, Kei Kamara, Adam Cristman, and Boris Pardo “pop-in” to help with practice and talk to the players about working hard and setting goals. Kevin Souter will be there with the NAIA to talk to players about Are You In?, a program designed to improve character in sport.
