Kansas will tip off the NCAA tournament in Friday's late game.
The NCAA announced the Friday evening game schedule at Kansas City's Kemper Arena. No. 5 seed Providence faces no. 12 seed Pacific at 6:25 p.m.. Thirty minutes after that game (approx. 8:55 p.m.), the no. 4 seed Jayhawks take on no. 13 Illinois-Chicago.
The winners of those games will meet in a 3:50 pm game Sunday.
Kansas is playing in the NCAA tournament for a school-record 15th consecutive season and the 33rd time overall.
