Chiefs Coach of the Week

CHIEFS ANNOUNCE HIGH SCHOOL COACHES OF THE WEEK: WEEK TWO

The 2009 High School Coach of the Week program is a joint initiative of the Kansas City Chiefs, the Chiefs Ambassadors and the National Football League. Supported locally by the US Army, this program is designed to recognize and reward Kansas City area high school coaches for superior performance throughout the year.

The following coaches were selected from Missouri and Kansas as the High School Coaches of the Week for Week Two of the 2009 high school football season:

Missouri Kansas
Kimble Anders Mike Thomas
Northeast High School St. Thomas Aquinas High School

St. Thomas Aquinas and North Kansas City were tied 7-7 after three quarters until St. Thomas Aquinas outscored North Kansas City 15-12 in the 4th quarter. Northeast High School defeated Westport 12-8 in a defensive contest.

A Chiefs Ambassador and a US Army representative will be at each of the presentations to honor the Coach of the Week. All media are invited to attend the special tributes to honor these individuals who are shaping today’s youth and tomorrow’s leaders.
