WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ Kansas residents can pay 75 dollars each to celebrate Governor Kathleen Sebelius' inauguration on Thursday.
They also will get the chance to rub elbows with sports icons like Bill Snyder, former Wichita State basketball star Cleo Littleton and the long-time voice of the Kansas Jayhawks, Max Falkenstien.
The Wichita event is the first of several inaugural celebrations statewide. Organizers say their theme is sports, and special guests will include several outstanding area high school athletes.
Large televisions will also be set up so that attendees can catch the Shockers' game against Bradley that evening.
Sebelius will be sworn in on January 8th at the Capitol in Topeka.
