Nationals Designate RHP Colome For Assignment
Right-hander Jesus Colome(notes) has been designated for assignment by the Washington Nationals.

The move involving Colome was announced after Washington’s 5-3 victory over the Braves on Saturday. Colome was the losing pitcher in a 9-8 defeat to Atlanta on Friday.

Colome was 1-1 with an 8.40 ERA in 16 relief appearances. The Nationals have 10 days to trade, release or send him outright to the minor leagues.
