CHIEFS AGREE TO TERMS WITH QB INGLE MARTIN

The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Monday that the club has agreed to terms of a two-year Reserve/Future Free Agent contract with QB Ingle Martin. As per club policy, no further terms of the agreement were announced.

Martin (6-2, 220) originally joined the Chiefs from Tennessee’s practice squad on September 9th. He spent seven weeks on the Chiefs active roster and concluded the 2008 campaign on the club’s practice squad. Martin entered the NFL as a fifth-round pick (148th overall) of Green Bay in the 2006 NFL Draft, playing in one game his rookie season. He spent the entire 2007 campaign and the first week of the 2008 season on the Titans practice squad.

The Nashville, Tennessee native began his college career at Florida before transferring to Furman for his final two collegiate seasons. He started 24 games for the Paladins, setting school records for passing yards (5,751), passing touchdowns (42) and total offense (6,277). As a prep he led Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville, Tennessee to three consecutive state championships.
