The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Friday that the club has signed LB Weston Dacus to a three-year contract from the club’s practice squad. As per Chiefs policy, no other terms of the agreement were made available.
Dacus (6-1, 232) originally joined the Chiefs as a rookie free agent in 2008. He attended training camp with Kansas City this year, but was released prior to the start of the regular season. This is his second stint on the club’s 53-man roster this season. Dacus previously spent Weeks Four through 11 on the active roster before re-joining the practice squad in Week 12. Dacus has seen action in seven games registering five tackles. He also owns four special team stops.
The Searcy, Arkansas native played in 47 games (25 starts) over four seasons at Arkansas. He registered 231 tackles (142 solo), 16.0 tackles for loss, four forced fumbles and an INT. He was a standout prep running back at Searcy High School.
