The Topeka RoadRunners have announced that second-year forward Jordan George has committed to Bemidji State University (CHA) for next season.

The Madison, Wis., native ranks second in league scoring this season with 28 points (nine goals) after 17 games. He’s also a plus-12.

“Jordan is electric in the way he plays the game,” said Bemidji State head coach Tom Serratore. “He can take you out of your seat with his skill set and determination to make the play.”

George, 18, is the second RoadRunner to commit to Bemidji State this month; forward Matt Hartmann will also skate for the Beavers next season.

“We’re excited and look forward to having both of these players as part of the Beaver Hockey family,” Serratore added. “Having watched these two players over the past two years in Topeka, they’ve continued to improve their game and that’s a tribute to the coaching staff and the Topeka organization.”

Bemidji is getting two of junior hockey’s finest forwards. George, along with Hartman will improve the skill of the Beavers for the 2009-2010 season,” stated RoadRunners head coach Scott Langer.
