For the first time in school history, Emporia State University will play host to the NCAA Division II South Central Regional Volleyball Tournament in William L. White Auditorium. The Tournament will begin Friday, Nov. 21 at 12 noon and conclude on Sunday, Nov. 23 with the championship match at 5 p.m.

Six MIAA teams have qualified for the eight team tournament. The afternoon will be an all MIAA affair with Washburn and Central Missouri opening the tourney at 12 noon on Friday. Truman and Neb.-Omaha will square off at 2:30 p.m. Pittsburg State will take on West Texas A&M at 5 p.m. followed by Emporia State playing UT-Permian Basin at 7:30 p.m.

The semifinals will be held on Saturday beginning at 4:30 p.m. with the championship match set for 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Emporia State's match with UT-Permian Basin will be a rematch of a 3-0 ESU win in the Lady Blues Classic on Oct. 4 in Topeka, Kan.

Tickets will go on sale Monday at the ESU Athletic Ticket Office located in the ESU Memorial Union. Phone orders can be placed by calling toll free 877-341-NEST (6378) after 12 noon on Monday.
