CHIEFS ANNOUNCE HIGH SCHOOL COACHES OF THE WEEK: WEEK 10
The 2008 High School Coach of the Week program is a joint initiative of the Kansas City Chiefs, the Chiefs Ambassadors and the National Football League. Supported locally by the US Army, this program is designed to recognize and reward Kansas City area high school coaches for superior performance throughout the year.
The following coaches were selected from Missouri and Kansas, respectively, as the High School Coach of the Week for week 10 of the 2008 high school football season:

Staley High School Mill Valley High School
Staley High School was productive in all facets of the game in their victory over Central, 34-12. The Falcons scored on the ground, through the air, on defense and on special teams. The first year football program at Staley improved to 8-2 on the year.

Mill Valley's ball control offense doused any chance of Lansing victory on Friday, winning 21-14. The Jaguars ran over twice as many offensive plays as the Lions thanks to scoring drives of 10, 13, and 10 plays. The win clinched the Kaw Valley League title, the Kansas 5A, District 1 championship and handed Lansing its first loss of the season.
