^What's at Stake=
The winner gets a boost before the rugged part of the Big 12
schedule. The Wildcats will play nationally ranked Oklahoma, Kansas
and Missouri over consecutive weeks. The Aggies take on Texas Tech
next week and have Oklahoma and Texas down the road.<
^Key Matchup=
Kansas State's offense vs. Texas A&M's defense. The Wildcats are
averaging 43.2 points per game, which would lead most conferences.
In the Big 12, it's merely middle of the pack. The Aggies rank last
in the Big 12 in rushing defense (225 yards per game) and lead the
league in pass defense (148.6 yards per game).<
^Players to Watch=
Kansas State: QB Josh Freeman. The Wildcats' all-time leader in
passing yards needs one touchdown pass to tie Ell Roberson's school
record (37). Freeman has thrown a touchdown pass in 16 straight
games and has eight rushing TDs this season.
Texas A&M: RB Mike Goodson. The explosive junior broke an
80-yard touchdown run against Oklahoma State last week and caught
three passes for 16 yards. He leads the Aggies in rushing and
receiving.<

The Aggies have won the last five meetings, starting with a
36-33 victory in double overtime in the 1998 Big 12 championship
