KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) _ The Kansas City Chiefs will start two
rookie cornerbacks this week at Atlanta.
But coach Herm Edwards says the potentially dangerous situation
won't cost him sleep.
On one side will be Brandon Flowers, who got the starting job
after being drafted in the second round last April out of Virginia
Tech.
A fifth-round pick, Brandon Carr, replaces 11-year veteran
Patrick Surtain, who injured his shoulder last week against
Oakland.
This time last year Carr was patrolling the secondary for
Division II Grand Valley State.
Edwards says there's no reason to panic.
The Chiefs (0-2) were already the youngest team in the NFL, with
15 rookies on their opening-day roster and 32 with no more than
three years of experience.
