SPORTING KC HOSTS THE MONTREAL IMPACT ON SATURDAY
Sporting Kansas City hosts the Montreal Impact at 7:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, in a match presented by Ivy Funds. The home side (2-1-2) returns after a bye last weekend and will attempt to add to their four-game unbeaten streak while Montreal is in search of the club's first victory this season.
A limited number of tickets are still available for Saturday's match and can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com or by calling 888-4KC-GOAL, including standing-room only tickets which will be released at 1 p.m. CT today. The match will be broadcast live on 38 The Spot and SKCTV across the Midwest beginning at 7 p.m CT.
PRESS CONFERENCE TODAY WITH PETER VERMES AND DOM DWYER
Sporting Kansas City will host the team's weekly press conference at 12 p.m. CT today at the Swope Soccer Village (6310 Lewis Rd., Kansas City, MO) with Manager Peter Vermes and forward Dom Dwyer meeting with media. Dwyer has two goals in 2014, including Major League Soccer's Goal of the Week in Week 4, and was featured by MLSsoccer.com on Wednesday in the site's Generations video series.
TICKETS ON SALE NEXT WEEK FOR SPORTING KC MATCH AGAINST ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE'S MANCHESTER CITY
Tickets for Sporting Kansas City's international friendly against English Premier League club Manchester City on July 23 at Sporting Park will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. CT on April 25 and will be available via Ticketmaster.com.
Sporting Kansas City Season Ticket Members can secure their current regular season seat location(s) during the right of first refusal window beginning at 10 a.m. CT on April 21. All Season Ticket Members will be invoiced through their online Sporting KC Account Manager and must complete the invoice prior to 10 a.m. CT on April 24.
Season Ticket Members will also have the opportunity to purchase additional tickets during an exclusive pre-sale via Ticketmaster.com beginning at 12 p.m. CT on Thursday, April 24 and ending at 10 a.m. CT on Friday, April 25. During this pre-sale, the maximum number of seats that can be purchased for the friendly is limited to the total number of regular season tickets associated with the Season Ticket Member's account and is subject to availability. ERIK PALMER-BROWN AND U.S. U20'S ADVANCE TO SEMIFINALS AT 2014 DALLAS CUP
Sporting Kansas City defender Erik Palmer-Brown made his competitive debut for the United States Under-20 Men's National Team on Sunday in a 3-2 victory over River Plate (ARG) and used the performance to earn his first start for head coach Tab Ramos in Monday's 3-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt (GER) at the 2014 Dallas Cup.
With the U.S. trailing 2-1 at halftime in Sunday's tournament opener, Palmer-Brown replaced Jesus Vazquez to start the second half as the United States rallied for the come-from-behind win in Bracket C of the Gordon Jago Super Group.
The United States U-20's defeated Tigres UANL (MEX) 1-0 in the final group stage match on Wednesday and will advance to the semifinals of the tournament. Palmer-Brown entered the match as a second half substitute and helped to preserve the shutout. The U-20's will face Fluminense at 7:30 p.m. CT at Cotton Bowl Stadium in the semifinal match.
USL PRO AFFILIATES OKC ENERGY FC AND ORLANDO CITY SC EARN AWAY VICTORIES
Sporting KC's USL PRO affiliates OKC Energy FC and Orlando City both earned road victories last weekend. Orlando City moved to the top of the USL PRO standings with a 1-0 win at Charleston Battery and remain unbeatain in the regular season (2-0-2). OKC Energy FC, coached by former Sporting KC captain Jimmy Nielsen, are in fourth place in the table after an impressive 4-0 win at Arizona United SC and a 1-0 defeat against FC Dallas Reserves. SPORTING KC ACADEMY UPDATE
The Sporting KC Adacemy U-17's are participating in the 2013-14 Generational adidas Cup in Frisco, Texas this week. The Sporting KC Academy is undefeated after their first two matches, earning a 2-1 victory over D.C. United on Monday and a shootout victory over Chivas USA after a 1-1 draw in regulation on Tuesday. With three games remaining, the Sporting KC Academy U-17's are tied for first place in their group and will next face the Montreal Impact today at 4 p.m. CT.

Sporting KC captain Matt Besler joined Sports Radio 810-WHB twice in as many days. Tuesday night, Belser and the Montreal Impact's Jack McInerney were guests on The Sporting KC Show hosted by Callum Williams, Andy Edwards and Carter Augustine to preview this weekend's Eastern Conference matchup.

SPORTING KC DEFENDER IKE OPARA UNDERWENT SURGERY FOR SEVERE SEASON-ENDING ANKLE INJURY
Sporting Kansas defender Ike Opara underwent surgery this week to repair a chondral defect in his right ankle and is expected to miss the remainder of the 2014 season. Opara suffered the season-ending injury in the 57th minute of Sporting Kansas City's victory at Colorado on March 29 in a collision with Rapids defender Jared Watts.
KCP&L PARTNERS WITH SPORTING KC AND EL PADRINO SOCCER LEAGUE
Kansas City Power & Light (KCP&L) recently signed a multi-year agreement with Sporting Kansas City to become the team's official solar energy solutions provider and a community partner of the El Padrino Soccer League, a Sporting Club Network member.
In addition to the future installation of solar panels at Sporting Kansas City facilities, KCP&L will have the opportunity to connect with hundreds of soccer players in the Kansas City metropolitan area through it's community partnership with the El Padrino Soccer League. KCP&L will help support the league with soccer clinics for youth players and coaches, as well through apparel and energy education among other benefits.
