No NASCAR Hall of Fame

NASCAR picks three finalists for its Hall of Fame, and Kansas City, Kansas, is out of the running.
The organization today said it's narrowed the choices to Atlanta, Daytona Beach and Charlotte, North Carolina.
The decision also eliminates Richmond, Virginia.
NASCAR vice president Mark Dyer says Kansas City, Kansas, and
Richmond both made ``outstanding'' proposals, but the finalists provide the best opportunities for devloping a world-class museum.
Earlier this year, NASCAR officials toured the five cities that submitted bids for the Hall of Fame. The stock-car racing series has said it wants the attraction to appeal to both race fans and those new to the sport.
