(June 20, 2008) – The Kansas City Wizards announced today that Argentine midfielder Eloy Colombano has been released. The 25-year-old attacking player will return to Argentina to be with his wife and newborn son after spending parts of two seasons with the Wizards.

Colombano joined Kansas City in August of 2007 after the team first discovered him during a preseason trip to Argentina, where he played for Defensa y Justicia. Colombano played 17 games for the Wizards, making two starts, scoring one goal and adding one assist. Kansas City now has one senior roster spot available and employs five international players.
