TOPEKA, KS. (May 13, 2008)- NHRA has announced that it has extended its contract with Heartland Park Topeka for an additional three years. This means that the O’Reilly NHRA Summer Nationals will be held in Topeka through 2011.
Each summer, the O’Reilly NHRA Summer Nationals attracts thousands of fans and racers to Topeka and Heartland Park Topeka alike. This year is the 20th annual O’ Reilly NHRA Summer Nationals will be held on May 30th, 31st, and June 1st.
“We are very excited about the fact that the NHRA is continuing to partner with Heartland Park,” said Shannon Warta, public relations. “We are looking forward to working with them beyond the next three years.”
Heartland Park Topeka, a multi-purpose racing facility located in Topeka, Kan. annually hosts NHRA POWERade drag racing, the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA), and many other pro and amateur drag racing, road racing and dirt racing events throughout the race season.
