May 12, 2008 -- The #4 ESU baseball team has been selected to host the 2008 NCAA Division II Central Regional. The Hornets finished their season with a 48-8 record and were MIAA Conference Regular Season Champions. They will be hosting the regional for the second time in three years and third time in school history.

The Hornets will enter the regional as the number one seed and will face sixth seeded Concordia St. Paul with game times to be announced on Monday. The last time the Hornets hosted the regional in 2006 they defeated Minnesota State in the championship game and advanced to their first NCAA Division II Championship Finals.
