Major League Baseball is trying to celebrate
Mother's Day today while promoting breast cancer awareness, but
Mother Nature is putting a damper on things along the Rust Belt.
The Yankees and Tigers have been rained out in Detroit, wiping
out what was supposed to be the rubber match of a three-game set.
The Pirates and Braves were washed out in Pittsburgh, forcing the
two teams to play a twinbill tomorrow. The Indians and Blue Jays
also will play a pair tomorrow in Cleveland after rain washed out
their game this afternoon.
The start of Colorado's game against the Cubs was postponed at
Wrigley Field.
Many major leaguers are sporting pink wrist bands and pink
ribbons while using pink bats to mark the day.
