May 9, 2008-Winona State hit three home runs as they upset their second nationally ranked team with an 8-1 win over #12 Southwest Minnesota State at the NCAA D-II North Central Regional Tournament in Emporia, Kan.
WSU got homers from Mollie Bjelland, Annie Stuedemann and Callie Givens in the first three innings to give the Warriors a 6-0 lead.
The Warriors will take on the winner fo the Neb.-Omaha vs. Emporia State game on Saturday at 10 a.m. Southwest Minnesota State will play Minnesota State in an elimination game at 6:45 p.m. tonight.
