KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) _ Brittainey Raven scored 16 points as
Texas beat Texas Tech 75-63 tonight in the first round of the Big
12 women's tournament.
Ashley Lindsey and Kathleen Nash each scored 14 points and
Erneisha Bailey added 13 for Texas (20-11), which held Texas Tech
without a field goal for more than nine minutes in the first half.
Dominic Seals scored 15 points and Jordan Murphree had 14 for
Texas Tech (16-15), which committed 23 turnovers in its fourth
straight loss.
The Longhorns face second-seeded Baylor tomorrow.
