Kansas State opens the Big 12 portion of its schedule on Wednesday night at No. 13 (AP)/12 (ESPN/USA Today) Texas A&M with tip-off slated for 7 p.m. from Reed Arena. The Wildcats will look to extend their current three-game winning streak by taking on their second ranked foe of the season. The last time K-State defeated a ranked opponent was in the last meeting between these schools, a 48-45 win in Manhattan on Jan. 6, 2007.

K-State wrapped up the non-conference portion of its schedule on Jan. 2 with a 68-53 win over Western Illinois. With the win, the Wildcats extended their home court winning streak against non-conference opponents to 23 games. Sophomore forward Ashley Sweat led the Wildcats with a game-high 21 points on 9-of-15 shooting. Senior guard Kimberly Dietz also reached double figures with 13 points, including 3-of-7 from beyond the three-point line.
For the season, Kansas State is led in scoring by Dietz with 13.4 points per game, junior forward Marlies Gipson second on the team with 10.7 per game and Sweat third with 10.2 per contest. Gipson leads the team in rebounding with 8.2 boards per contest with junior guard Shalee Lehning in second with 7.0 per game. Lehning leads the squad in assists with 6.15 per game.
