Kansas Gets Another Tough Tuneup Before Conference Schedule

ST. LOUIS (AP) _ Kansas coach Bill Self likes the idea of his
Jayhawks facing one last test against Boston College before
beginning Big 12 Conference play.

The third-ranked Jayhawks have already beaten Arizona, USC and
Georgia Tech in the early going of its 13-0 start. Boston College
(10-2) has wins at Michigan and Maryland.

Darnell Jackson has shot 66 percent or better each of the last
six games for Kansas.

Kansas has a final tuneup at home against Loyola College of
Maryland on Tuesday. The Jayhawks' conference opener is January
12th at Nebraska.

The Big 12 is second in RPI, with half of the conference at 10
wins or better.

That includes 13-1 Texas A&M, 11-1 Baylor, 10-2 Texas and
Nebraska, and 10-3 Oklahoma. Three others have nine victories.
