Clemens Tells ``60 Minutes'' Trainer's Injections Weren't Steroids

NEW YORK (AP) _ Roger Clemens says former trainer Brian McNamee
injected him with the painkiller lidocaine and vitamin B-12. That's
according to excerpts released from the pitcher's ``60 Minutes''
interview.

McNamee said in the Mitchell report that he injected Clemens
with steroids in 1998 while the pitcher was with Toronto, and then
with steroids and human growth hormone in 2000 and 2001 with the
Yankees.

Clemens told ``60 Minutes'' reporter Mike Wallace that McNamee's
accusations are ``ridiculous'' and that he never used banned
substances.

The pitcher says the lidocaine was for his joints and that he
continues to take B-12 today.
