13 Sports High Five: August 18, 2014

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- This week's High Five sponsored by Toyota features a couple of local college teams tabbed among the nations best and an extraordinary start to an NFL career.

Getting things off to a hot start is rookie Chiefs Quarterback Aaron Murray, in his first NFL pass completion, Murray found a streaking Travis Kelse for a touchdown making the game look easy.

The Washburn volleyball team enters the season ranked 10th in the country in Division II after a stellar 2013 season finishing atop the MIAA with a 31-6 record.

Keeping with the Ichabods, former Washburn football player Cary Williams carried the Eagles defense on Friday with an interception off Tom Brady and he turns it into TD.

Fans are buzzing at Emporia State as the football team cracked the American Football Coaches Division II top 25. The 22nd ranked Hornets look to improve on a 9-2 season when they open September 4th against Missouri Southern at home.

Heading over to Kansas City it's Sporting's Dom Dwyer. The offensive juggernaut recorded his 5th multi-goal game. The most in the MLS this season.
