Lawrence, Kan. -- Over 200 kids and parents attended the University of Kansas women's basketball Holiday Hoops Clinic on Tuesday afternoon. The kids, with some of their parents taking up the invitation to join them, spent New Year's Day with the Jayhawks' women's basketball team.
Kindergarten through eighth graders participated in drills with current KU players and coaches on Naismith Court in Allen Fieldhouse. Participants rotated through seven stations that included instruction on passing, shooting, dribbling and defense. The two hour clinic concluded with an autograph and picture session with KU players.
The women's basketball team resumes their non-conference schedule on Friday when they head to Cincinnati, Ohio to take on Xavier at 5 p.m. CST. The team returns home on Wednesday, Jan. 9 when they open their Big 12 schedule against Oklahoma State at 7 p.m.
