MINNEAPOLIS (AP) _ The Minnesota Vikings continue to control the
final NFC wild-card berth after Adrian Peterson scored a
fourth-quarter touchdown in a 20-13 comeback win over the Bears.
Peterson finished with 78 yards on 20 carries after managing
just 22 yards on his first 10 rushes. He started the Vikings'
comeback with a one-yard TD in the third quarter that cut the
Bears' lead to 13-12. Minnesota finally took its first lead of the
game when Peterson rumbled eight yards for a touchdown with 10:56
Tarvaris Jackson was 18-of-28 for 249 yards but threw for no
touchdowns and had three interceptions. Robert Ferguson had a
71-yard reception as the Vikings improved to 8-and-6, one game
ahead of Washington and New Orleans.
Bears quarterback Kyle Orton was 18-of-29 for 184 yards and one
interception. Jason McKie ran for Chicago's lone touchdown.
The 6-and-8 Bears were eliminated from postseason consideration.
