Can't get much worse for KC

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) _ Kansas City coach Herm Edwards says the
defense put the offense in a bad way in yesterday's 41-to-7 loss to
Denver.
The 4-9 Chiefs have lost six in a row, and against Denver they
were no better than three-and-out on 10 of their first 11
possessions.
The ground game averaged less than 1 yard per carry, with third-
and fourth-team running backs and a left tackle making his first
NFL start.
Tight end Tony Gonzalez was one of the few bright spots, with
seven catches for 76 yards and one TD.
Edwards say the only other player who didn't perform poorly was
quarterback Brodie Croyle.
In his third NFL start, Croyle was 15 of 29 for 132 yards and
had several balls dropped by receivers.
