Jennifer Kolarik, a hitter from Overland Park, Kan., and Bishop Miege High School, joins Circle High School senior and Augusta, Kan., native Crystal Blue as the two in-state recruits.

From Nebraska, Herron signed Mollie Lacy, from Lincoln Pius X High School, and Courtney Wallman from Filley and Beatrice High School. The two played together on a club team this year that finished as national championships.

The Lady Blues finished 38-4 this year after hosting the NCAA Division II Volleyball National Championship. Washburn defeated No. 1 Tampa in the quarterfinal before falling in the semifinal for a third-place finish. The American Volleyball Coaches Association echoed that by ranking Washburn No. 3 in the final national poll, giving WU its highest ranking in school history.
