Rams' Bulger ruled out

ST. LOUIS (AP) _ St. Louis Rams quarterback Marc Bulger is ruled
out for play after failing medical tests.

The team's news came four days after Bulger sustained a
concussion in last weekend's game against the Seattle Seahawks.
He'd been held out of practice yesterday.

Bulger said on Monday he felt much better and expected to play
against the Falcons, but backup Gus Frerotte said yesterday he
looked groggy.

The Rams (2-9) took steps in case Bulger was not cleared, and
elevated quarterback Brock Berlin from the practice squad as the
potential backup behind Frerotte. St. Louis has gone with two
quarterbacks on the active roster all season.
