UNDATED (AP) _ Sean Taylor will be honored throughout the NFL.
The league announced Wednesday that all of its players will wear
a Number-21 decal on their helmets during this weekend's games, in
memory of the Washington Redskins safety who died early Tuesday of
a gunshot wound. Redskins players will wear the decal for the
remainder of the season.
The Redskins practiced Wednesday for the first time since
Taylor's death. Taylor's father, Pedro, addressed the team for 10
minutes telling them to win the next five games and make it to the
The Redskins host Buffalo Sunday, a day before Taylor's funeral
in Miami. Team owner Daniel Snyder is arranging for the entire
Redskins organization to attend the service. Police have no suspects in the fatal shooting.
