TOPEKA, Kan.- Sophomore setter Kate Hampson and senior rightside hitter Tessa Jones became Washburn’s first Daktronics, Inc. All-Americans as the two were named to the second team, announced Thursday.
Jones, a three-time AVCA All-American including a first team selection this year, set the school’s single-season record for kills, now with 606, and she leads the team with 4.39 kills a game.
Hampson, earning her first All-America award, set a school record this year with 1,817 kills and leads the team and MIAA with 13.66 per game. She became the fourth All-American in school history.
