Butler County, Featuring NE Kansans, to Play for National Title

Butler Community College football fans across the state and the world will be able to watch the Grizzlies play in the Top of the Mountains Bowl Game live on Kansas Now 22 this Saturday, December 1. Pre-game activities and introductions begin at 1 p.m. with the kick-off scheduled for approximately 1:07 p.m. Kansas Now 22 is available to all customers in Cox Communications’ fiber systems in Kansas. For those without cable, viewers can log into www.kake.com to watch the game.

Billed as the biggest junior college bowl game in the nation, the Top of the Mountain Bowl features number two ranked Butler County Community College facing off against number one ranked Snow College of Utah for the national championship. The game is being played at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City.

“This is a very important game to many of our viewers across the state”, said Bryan Frye, Marketing Director at KAKE TV. “It’s just another example of unique, local programming that we’re able to provide on Kansas Now 22.”

Kansas Now 22 is a partnership between Cox Communications, KAKE TV, Wichita & WIBW TV, Topeka. Through Kansas Now 22, customers in Cox Communications’ fiber systems in Kansas are able to access local news, weather and community programming when it is important to them.
