Hutchinson pulls away for fourth straight championship

TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) _ Romero Cotton rushed for 172 yards and two
touchdowns and Deveon Dinwiddie added 191 yards and three scores,
leading Hutchinson to a 37-to-14 win over Olathe South today for
the Class 6A Kansas high school football championship at Yager
Stadium.
While the score was even at 14 at halftime, Hutchinson (13-0)
scored 24 unanswered points in the second half to win its 36th
consecutive game and its fourth straight championship.
Cotton scored on a 2-yard run and Dinwiddie added a 36-yard
touchdown run to put Hutchinson up 14-0 in the first quarter.
The Hutchinson senior class wrapped up their career with just
one loss and four championships.
