Smith Center wins fourth straight championship, finishes unbeaten

HAYS, Kan. (AP) _ Smith Center made it 54 in a row.
The Redmen finished their fourth consecutive undefeated season
with their fourth straight Kansas Class 2-1A high school football
championship in a 40-to-14 win over St. Mary's-Colgan today in
Hays.
Braden Wilson rushed for 225 yards and three touchdowns and
quarterback Joe Windscheffel rushed for 179 and two touchdowns for
the Redmen.
St. Mary's-Colgan scored 14, the most allowed by the Redmen this
season.
Smith Center allowed only three touchdowns this season.
Tino King had 57 yards rushed for the Panthers and scored the
game's first touchdown following a Smith Center fumble.
