ESU*S ROSSBACH EARNS ALL-AMERICAN HONORS


November 17, 2007-Emporia State*s Jonel Rossbach finished fourth at
the NCAA Division II Cross Country National Championships in Joplin,
Mo.

The senior from Omaha, Neb. covered the six kilometer course in 20:47.5
to earn All-American honors for the second straight year. Her fourth
place finish is the best ever by an ESU woman at the NCAA Championships
and matches the top finish all-time at a championship meet. ESU Hall of
Honor member Lesha Wood placed fourth at the 1980 NAIA National
Championships. With a fourth place finish, Rossbach earned her fourth
All-American honor in cross country, indoor and outdoor track.

ESU will begin the indoor track and field season on December 7-8 in
Manhattan, Kan. at the Carol Robinson Pentathlon and KSU All-Comers
Meets.
